Dubai mall

I Like both Emirates and Dubai mall, but if I had to choose it would be Dubai mall.
Dubai is bigger and have more fancy stores, And Dubai Aquarium is amassing.
Emirates smaller but easier to find the stores.
I would not recommend going on the weekend try to go early Monday morning, it will be quiet :)

Going to Dubai mall today.
Dubai Mall opened on 4 November 2008, with about 635 retailers, marking the world's largest-ever mall opening in retail history.

Galeries LafayetteGaleries Lafayette is my destination, and forever 21, I am looking for a new dress and some cute tops.

I found a nice bag from Guess. Style SI332018. White.

New necklace from Thomas Sabo, Chain Ribbon with dragonfly charm. Absolutely LOVE it.

Irish village

On the way to the bar Irish village, music and beer. A friend is leaving Dubai for the summer so we are going out for drinks with her. I have been there once before. I remember it being just as a pub in UK. The only thing I don't like about the pubs on Dubai is that they allow smoking. I quit smoking about five years ago and now I hate coming home smelling from it.

Heat protection

You can use your flat iron and your curling iron to create glamorous looks without damage to your hair providing you use the right hair products and know the basic rules of heat styling

I use Schwartkops heat protection, I got it fropm my cousin as a chistmas present and have been using it since.
It is easy to spray on and it smells nice.

Some tips :

Hair keeps the shape in which it cools down. Heat styling can however become a problem for your hair. Styling devices can reach temperatures up to 220oC and cause damage to wet unprotected hair.

The long-term consequences are split ends, lack of lustre and breakage. This can be avoided by applying protective products before any heat styling. These products make styling easier and prevent topical overheating. Equally important is the choice of the styling device. Newer flat irons have special coatings (e.g. ceramic coatings), which ensure even and moderate heating of the hair.

It is easier to distribute heat protection products in wet hair. To provide seamless protection for every hair you should therefore apply these products while the hair is still wet

Beware: Hair must be dry before you use heat to reshape it. As long as hair is wet its chemical structure is altered. When heat is applied to wet hair it can permanently damage the dandruff layer and the hair structure

Once you have applied the heat protection product you should gently comb your hair with a wide-toothed comb. This further distributes the protective product.

Bikram Yoga Dubai Marina

2012-07-13
Yesterday I finally got my big bum to Bikram yoga here in Dubai Marina. Brian was the teacher and it was hard, and he did not open any door to let air in either. After about 30 min I felt sick and I had not hydrated enough so I got a headache, I just felt awful.
But I still got very good results
- 2,8kg in total now!

I like their new place It looks very nice and lots of showers.
But I do not like the new floor, it is slippery. Brian got us to do some poses using the floor instead of the towel. Maybe this is the proper way to do it, but I thought it was to slippery.

( I did find out that the reason it felt to slippery is that I do not do it properly,  I did not use my leg muscles in the proper way)

Visit Club Stretch for more information. They have a awesome beginner package for only 120AED

Chihuahua

I want a little dog, when I moved to Dubai I could not bring my dog, he is now living with a wonderful couple back home. But I miss him every day.

We are not allowed to have dogs in the building we live in, it is only allowed if you can carry them in a bag.

Hopefully I will change my job in the next six months and maybe It would be possible to bring a dog to work then.

Maybe,e maybe, maybe I will buy a Chihuahua. My boyfriend said "do what ever you want It´s your dog if you get one" Not really optimistic.

I will have a good think about it.

Jumeirah Beach

Today we went to one of the public beaches.

We usually go to the private beach, but this beach lay next to Lime Tree Cafe, and it is our favourite lunch place.

The have a really good menu and lots of fresh salads which rotate on an daily basis so there is always something new to try.

It was about 38c in the air and the water was hot to, it is like being in a bathtub. Most of the fish go deeper when it is hot, so not much to see now. but in the winter it good snorkeling.

The down side with public beach!
I find that some of the males are rudely staring at you (it tend to be a specific nationality working in Dubai). And they have absolutely no manners, If you are alone they can come really close and just stare at you, harmless but creepy!!!! If you go with male company they tend to leave you alone. Or tell the life guards.

If you goggle public beach you can read this warning!!

A small warning though, there are groups of men walking along the beachfront that pretend to be taking photos of each other but are taking photos of girls sunbathing. The police are usually fairly quick to pick them out and arrest them but they're not always there.

Observatory Marriott

Good morning,

yesterday we went to the restaurant at the 52th floor at Marriott Hotel the Observatory. It has a magnificent view across Dubai Marina.

We go here quite often and I love their bar bites, I can recommend fried calamari, and my friends loves their mini burgers.

Nice drinks are their Mojito and the Irish Coffee.
Dress code: Smart/Casual.

Vacation in Scotland

Today I am planning our five day vacation in Scotland, we are going to visit Aberdeen and Stonhaven.

It is going to be nice to get away from Dubai´s heat, today 42C, but now I am so used to it so I will probably freeze in 25c.. Bringing warm clothes, that´s for sure!!

I have never visited Scotland before and we are going to visit my boyfriend´s mum and his sister´s family. I am looking forward to meet everyone.

Aberdeen is Scotlands third most populous city.
The City have the contry´s largest national park, interesting architecture, an inspiering history, modern arts scene and perhaps Scotland's strongest industrial heritage and much more.

Good morning

Good morning, I went up early to do work emails.
Now I am drinking a cup of Tea on our balcony, Love the view, from here I can see Burg Al Arab, Kahlifa and a part of the Palm. If I want to walk to the beach it takes about 20min.
We live on 65th floor 220m up in the air. The area is Dubai Marina, the building have a pool and a gym. The gym is ok, the pool is just sad. It is like a shallow indoor pool with no possibility to tan.  I rather go to the beach.

The Dubai stone

Beeing in Jordan was not NOT good for my weight..
To much room service and no exercise.

Since I moved to Dubai i gained about 6kg. People around me says the the dubai stone (about 5kg) is well-known.. every one gains weight.

But to deal with it i started  Bikram yoga. It is absolutely awesome. It is 1 ½ hour in a room temperature of 40 degrees and high humidity. you do a specific set of postures,  I lost 4 kg  doing yoga 3 times a week.  And my food cravings stop.

There is a new Bikram Studio that have opened here in
Dubai Marina. I will go and check it out tomorrow!

Jordan

Home in Dubai again after one month in Jordan.

Working and having fun, visited Petra and the Dead sea!
Lived in Mövenpick hotel at Talabay, awsome diving and good beaches. Did two night dive and one wrek penetration.

PETRA

 TALABAY BEACH

Jordan was interesting but in comparison to Dubai very poor. Not nearly  as humid as Dubai so I can recomend a visit in June, it is not to hot .

The visit was great,
but I have to say it is nice to be home again. :D

Burj Al Arab

Tomorrow me my boyfriend and some friends from Sweden are going to visit Burj Al Arab. It's my first time there and we are going for the afternoon tea.

Looking forward to a interesting time.
Burg Al Arab is voted to be the world's most luxurios hotel.
